Due dates, part payments and overdue

What is this?

A purchase invoice issued under the updated policy is due in full 48 consecutive hours after it is issued, with the exact date and time printed on it. An older invoice keeps the terms it was issued with. A purchase is overdue only while money is still owed after the deadline.

How does it work?

  • Only an issued, valid invoice supplies an actionable payment request. An unavailable read is not an empty payment history. Check your bank receipt and the purchase history before reporting or recording again.
  • The 48-hour deadline is the moment RideAuction issues the invoice plus exactly 48 hours, weekends and holidays included, shown in Toronto time with the zone. It is frozen with the invoice; nothing later moves it, and an administrator does not choose it. An invoice issued before the updated policy keeps the payment terms it was issued with (for example net 7 days) and its own due date.
  • Payments are recorded as they arrive, with the date, method and reference. Part payments are kept; the outstanding amount is what remains. When one invoice lists several units, a payment is applied to its units, lowest lot number first with each unit cleared in full, unless RideAuction records a different split; the invoice shows Partly paid until every unit is covered. The due date is the invoice’s one due date.
  • A part payment does not meet the deadline: the full balance must be received and verified within the 48 hours. The invoice shows the total, the payments received and the remaining balance “as of” a stated time; it updates only when RideAuction records a verified receipt.
  • Overdue is worked out from your issued invoice, its due date in Toronto time and the outstanding amount. The overdue label and reminders work by whole Toronto days, so they can start up to about a day after the exact 48-hour moment; the exact moment on your invoice is the deadline to meet. Nobody sets it by hand, and it clears as soon as the balance is paid.

What do I need to do?

  • Open the purchase to see the invoiced total, credits, what was received and refunded, and what is still outstanding.
  • Pay the full outstanding amount, in CAD, before the exact deadline with the instructions on the invoice (wire transfer, Interac e-Transfer or an approved payment link), quoting its number. Payment is not taken on this site.

What happens next?

When the full amount is recorded, the purchase shows Paid and, once the retained release safeguards are satisfied, RideAuction authorizes the release for your pickup or RideAuction delivery.
