Credit notes and refunds

What is this?

An issued invoice is never edited. Corrections are credit notes with their own number; money returned to you is recorded as a refund.

How does it work?

  • A credit note names the invoice it corrects, the reason, and the amount and tax credited. It reduces what is owed on that invoice; the invoice itself stays as issued.
  • If your dealership paid more than it owes (for example after a credit note), RideAuction returns the difference outside this site and records the refund with its date, method and reference.
  • Refunds and credit notes are permanent records. A mistaken entry is corrected by a new entry, never deleted.

What do I need to do?

  • Check each credit note against your records; contact RideAuction with the credit-note number if anything is wrong.

What happens next?

Your purchase shows the credits and refunds, the net paid and anything still outstanding or owed back to you.
