Picking up a unit you bought
What is this?
Once you have paid in full, RideAuction issues your pickup pass automatically. Naming who will collect the unit is optional.
How does it work?
- Pay the issued invoice. When RideAuction has received the full payment and the sale is clear (no open dispute or hold), your pickup pass is issued automatically, usually within a minute. You do not need to name anyone or ask for approval.
- Your purchase page then shows the pickup pass: a number, a verification code and an expiry. Bring it (printed or on a phone) or give it to whoever collects the unit. The seller checks the number and code and records the handover.
- Naming a staff member or a transporter is optional (on the purchase, under Pickup → Name who will pick up). If you name someone, they must stay an active staff member (or be a transporter): a named person who is no longer active stops the handover until you remove or replace the name.
- If the page says “Waiting for RideAuction to enable pickup”, nothing is needed from you; RideAuction is enabling pickup. If it says “Pickup on hold”, the line under it says why (for example an open dispute or a payment that is not complete).
- Delivery is separate: choose RideAuction delivery under Delivery, or collect the unit yourself. RideAuction does not handle title or registration paperwork; dealers exchange it directly.
- When the handover is recorded, the unit appears in your RevLane inventory as a private draft with its unit details only (no seller price, photos or text). Your purchase page shows it under Pickup → RevLane inventory with a link. Add your price, photos and description, then publish it or submit it to a new auction under the normal rules.
What do I need to do?
- Pay the issued invoice.
- Open the pickup pass on your purchase page when it appears.
- Optionally name who will pick up.
- After the handover, open the new draft in RevLane inventory and complete it.
What happens next?
After the handover the purchase stays in your records. The Bill of Sale and any delivery are separate steps.

One invoice can list several units you won at the same auction, each shown separately with its own VIN, price, fees and tax.
