RideAuction delivery of a unit you bought

What is this?

After the sale you choose: RideAuction arranges delivery with a Ride YouAsk Live Tracker driver, or you arrange pickup yourself.

How does it work?

  • On your purchase, answer “Would you like RideAuction to arrange delivery of this unit?”. Yes: confirm the delivery address (one of your locations or another address), a contact and a phone, and any delivery instructions. No: you arrange pickup with the normal Pickup & release steps.
  • Your choice is recorded with your dealership, your name and the time. You can change it until a carrier has been offered the delivery.
  • Transport quote: once the seller (or RideAuction) prices the delivery, your purchase shows the quote — the selling dealership, the pickup and delivery addresses, the transport amount, the tax for your dealership’s province, the total in CAD, what is included and the transport terms. Only staff who manage auction activity (money) see the amounts and can answer.
  • Accept quotation (tick the box to confirm the price, tax and terms for your dealership), Ask a question, or Decline with a short message to the seller. No carrier is offered or booked before your dealership accepts. Your acceptance is recorded with your name, the time, the amounts, the tax and the terms version; Admin cannot accept for you.
  • Finding a carrier is automatic: the moment your dealership accepts, RideAuction offers the delivery to qualified, active carriers within 200 km of the pickup (checked for compliance, the provinces they serve, availability, the unit type, capacity and special handling). If nobody accepts within 20 minutes it widens to 300 km and keeps telling carriers who become available; the first qualified carrier to accept is booked, once. Your purchase shows “Finding a carrier” until then. If nobody accepts within an hour, RideAuction Logistics follows up and you are told; the search keeps going every 30 minutes until a carrier accepts. Nothing is needed from you.
  • You are notified when the carrier is booked, when the unit is picked up (released), if the driver reports a delay or a pickup problem, and when the unit is delivered.
  • If the price changes, it is a new quote version: your earlier answer no longer applies and the purchase shows “Revised: please review again”. Once a carrier is offered or booked, the quote can no longer be changed here; contact RideAuction Logistics for any variation or cancellation.
  • RideAuction plans the delivery as soon as you choose it, even before the auction is paid. A carrier is booked only after the transport price is accepted. Pickup needs RideAuction’s release (your payment) and the seller’s pickup permission; your purchase page shows the handoff stage. No ownership paperwork approval is requested.
  • The selling dealership enters the gross carrier offer in its sale’s Pickup & transport section. The price shown here is that transport amount before tax. After the driver completes delivery, your dealership is invoiced for transport only; Ride invoices the selling dealership its separate delivery technology fee, and the carrier is not charged a separate Ride fee. The invoice is not marked paid until payment is recorded.
  • Pickup only happens with a valid release. If the sale goes on hold, a payment is reversed, or the release is cancelled or expires, the driver is told not to start the pickup and RideAuction decides the next step with you.
  • At pickup the driver photographs and inspects the unit; their pickup confirmation records the release. Follow the unit live. The provider’s delivery proof and your receiver confirmation are separate: review the unit, report an issue if needed, then sign on the secure tracking page to confirm receipt.
  • A delivery invoice is separate from the auction purchase invoice. Delivery and receiver signing do not mean you have paid; use the invoice instructions and check the recorded payment status. Live Tracker records invoices but does not collect buyer money or send provider payouts.
  • If the delivery is cancelled before pickup, you can choose again. After pickup it can no longer be cancelled here. If tracking, proof or signing is missing, open the shipment and contact RideAuction support; do not submit another delivery request over an active shipment.

What do I need to do?

  • Open the purchase and answer the delivery question.
  • Review the transport quote and accept it, ask a question or decline.
  • Keep the delivery contact reachable; confirm receipt on the tracking page.

What happens next?

RideAuction plans the delivery right away and finds a carrier automatically once your dealership accepts the transport quote; pickup follows the release and the seller’s permission. The purchase shows each step.
