Photos: what photos are required?
What is this?
Step 3 requires separate odometer and VIN pictures; Step 5 manages listing photos. The first listing photo is the main photo bidders see. Identification pictures never count as listing or optional condition evidence.
How does it work?
- Tick photos from your Ride listing, or add photos for RideAuction only (your Ride listing does not change).
- Make your best overall photo the main photo; add the sides, the dash or controls and the VIN plate.
- Mandatory photos: upload ODOMETER PICTURE and VIN PICTURE in Step 3. Each supports camera capture where available, preview, replacement and removal. Progress/errors and retry appear per upload. A general listing photo never fills either slot. Pending, failed, removed, foreign or inaccessible files do not satisfy submission. Drafts remain saveable; an unsupported unit without an odometer or VIN needs RideAuction guidance, never a silent exemption. Photos remain linked to this submission after refresh and sign-in.
- Odometer reading: when RideAuction’s Bill of Sale disclosure rules are on, type the reading shown in the ODOMETER PICTURE and choose km or miles right next to the picture, then Save reading. The picture and the typed reading are both required before you can submit. The typed reading is this unit’s odometer for the sale: it replaces any earlier reading you typed and the mileage from your Ride listing (your Ride listing itself does not change), and the Bill of Sale prints it. You can change it until you submit the unit for review; after that it is locked.
- Close-ups of damage you disclosed belong in the Condition Report’s condition photos.
What do I need to do?
- Add or tick at least one photo.
- Choose the main photo.
- Choose “Save and continue”.
What happens next?
Step 6: Auction preferences.
