Bulk upload Auction units

What is this?

Create unpublished Auction drafts from a CSV or one-sheet XLSX, independently of Marketplace imports.

How does it work?

  • Choose Standard or Advanced, each with a blank template or ten fictional example units. Use the CSV Field Guide below the downloads for every accepted column, Type value and identifier rule. Examples are educational: replace all sample identifiers, unit details and illustration URLs before uploading real stock. Provide Year, Make, Model, Type and Identifier. Type keys: atv, utv_sxs, snowmobile, dirt_bike, dual_sport, motorcycle, trailer, rv, boat, pwc. Your current row and photo limits are shown on Bulk Upload. The tested ceilings are 1,000 rows and 10 MB per spreadsheet; use plain values, not formulas. Auction Admin manages defaults under Settings → Uploads and individual permission on the dealership’s Bulk Upload access card. Allowed is a saved permission, not proof that your account can upload: Ride onboarding, approved dealership selling, your active staff Submit units authority and service availability must also be ready. Ask Admin to check Dealer setup at a glance; activate your Ride account yourself if it is awaiting activation. Photo count is per submitted unit.
  • Map columns, confirm the actual default Canadian location and provide complete per-row overrides where needed. Validation creates no units. Select only the valid rows you want to create.
  • New units are Auction-only: they use canonical storage but are excluded from Marketplace publication and listing capacity. An exact eligible identifier match uses your existing unit unchanged; conflicting or foreign records are blocked.
  • Photos accepts public HTTPS URLs separated by |, or Photo 1-25. Do not populate both formats on a row. Each image must pass the security scan and image checks; 10 MB each, 25 gallery photos and a 500 MB download budget (failed attempts reserve up to 10 MB). Redirecting links are refused: use the final direct image URL. Photo tasks continue after leaving the page.

What do I need to do?

  • Use Import history to reopen progress. Each row explains errors and links created drafts. Invalid rows do not prevent selected valid rows from importing.
  • Advanced CSVs may prefill optional seller disclosure answers, including reported issues and explanations. These remain unacknowledged seller statements: no certification or independent inspection is created. Complete and review each draft location, sale terms, condition disclosures, inspection questions and explicit certifications before submitting. Imported information is seller-provided, never an independent inspection.
  • Retry failed work (photo retries are capped). If you cannot repair a photo URL, Stop remaining work preserves created drafts and stored photos, cancels outstanding work, and lets you add replacement photos directly in the draft.

What happens next?

Submission enters the existing Admin review. Importing never publishes, schedules bidding, invoices or charges. Uploading the identical file reopens its saved import rather than duplicating units.
