Disputes after a sale (buyers)

What is this?

If a unit you bought is not as described, contact RideAuction about the sale. Online dispute filing opens only once RideAuction publishes a dispute policy; from then on you can open a case from the purchase page while its filing window is open. RideAuction reviews both sides and records a decision.

How does it work?

  • Online filing depends on a published dispute policy. If no policy or case information is available, contact RideAuction; do not assume that no case or hold exists. Case decisions do not silently change payments or authorize pickup.
  • When: once RideAuction has published a dispute policy, open the purchase and choose “Problem with this purchase?”. Until then the purchase page says online filing is not available — contact RideAuction instead. The page shows whether a case can be opened, from which date the window counts (sale, release / pickup, or delivery — as RideAuction’s published policy says) and the last day. After the deadline, contact RideAuction.
  • What to send: choose what is wrong (undisclosed damage, mechanical condition, title / document, mileage or hours, missing parts, wrong unit, delivery damage, other), describe how it differs from the listing, the seller’s disclosures or the condition report, and say what you ask for. Save a draft to add photos and PDFs first — the seller sees nothing until you submit.
  • Evidence: each file or note says who can see it. Keep an item between your dealership and RideAuction when it is private (for example an internal estimate). Evidence is never deleted once added.
  • Attaching files: a PDF up to 25 MB, or a JPEG, PNG or WebP image up to 15 MB, one file with each note. If the file is refused (too large, not a supported type, or it could not be checked), the reason shows next to it and the note you typed stays — remove the file or choose another and choose Add evidence again. Sending again never adds the same evidence twice.
  • Review: the selling dealership responds; RideAuction reviews the claim, the response, the listing disclosures, any dealer inspection and RideAuction inspection, title and release records, payments and — for RideAuction deliveries — the driver’s pickup and delivery photos and your delivery confirmation. RideAuction may order a post-sale dispute inspection; the inspection before the sale is kept as it was.
  • Decision: RideAuction records its finding and outcome (no adjustment, a credit note, a refund, a cancellation while the unit is still with the seller, or another documented resolution). Any money change is recorded on your invoice, credit notes and payment history — the original invoice never changes.
  • A decision is RideAuction’s resolution of the case on its marketplace. It is not legal advice and does not replace any right you may have; ask your own adviser about that.

What do I need to do?

  • If online filing is not available yet, contact RideAuction about the sale.
  • Otherwise open the case before the deadline shown on the purchase, describe the problem clearly and add photos or documents.
  • Answer any request for more evidence by adding it to the case.

What happens next?

You are notified when the seller responds, when RideAuction asks for something, and when a decision is issued.
