My bid wasn’t accepted
What is this?
When a bid is refused, the bidding panel says why and takes you straight back to the bid controls.
How does it work?
- Another bid arrived first → the minimum went up while you were entering yours. The panel shows the new minimum bid.
- Above the largest single bid → RideAuction accepts bids up to CA$10,000,000. Check for an extra zero.
- Max Bid not higher → a new Max Bid must be above your current one.
- Lot not taking bids → it is in preview, paused or has closed.
- Too many bids in a few seconds → wait a moment and bid again.
What do I need to do?
- Choose Update bid in the message, check the amount, and place it again.
What happens next?
A refused bid is not placed, and other bidders never see it. Another bidder’s maximum and the reserve amount are never shown.
