Max Bid

What is this?

Bid automatically up to this amount. Your maximum stays private and RideAuction bids only as much as needed.

How does it work?

  • RideAuction bids for you, one increment at a time, up to your maximum — only when someone outbids you.
  • Your maximum stays private. It shows as a public bid amount only when RideAuction has to bid all of it (for example when someone outbids it), as an ordinary public bid. The confidential maximum field is never disclosed; public bid entries can carry the verified company identity under the mandatory dealer bidding Terms.
  • If two bidders set the same maximum, the one accepted first keeps the lead.
  • On a Reserve lot, if your maximum reaches the reserve, the current bid moves up to the reserve so it is met — never above your maximum.
  • You can raise your Max Bid while you are winning; it cannot be lowered.

What do I need to do?

  • Enter your private limit in Amount for Max / Jump (CAD) and choose Set Max Auto-Bid. Your first bid requires the combined event agreement; later Max Bid changes submit on selection, including large amounts. Check the numbers before selecting the action.
  • When leading, your current private Max Bid appears separately above the new amount field. Enter a higher amount in New private maximum (CAD). Raising is optional and does not itself increase the public bid; the server still checks the current limit and agreement version.

What happens next?

You stay WINNING until another bidder’s maximum is higher (or equal and earlier).
