Reserve not met
What is this?
Bidding ended below the private reserve, so the unit did not sell.
How does it work?
- No auction sale is recorded, and the result stays on record exactly as it closed.
- The reserve amount stays private. The highest bid is public: Sold results show it as “Highest bid — reserve not met”, never as a sold price, and it is never counted in sold-price figures.
- The unit is released back to the seller’s Ride inventory automatically. If the seller later accepts a post-auction offer, Sold results list the unit as Sold (accepted post-auction offer).
What do I need to do?
- Sellers: open the unit in Sell and choose what happens next — relist it, open it to offers, or keep it.
- Buyers: if the seller opens it to offers, you can make one from the lot page.
What happens next?
The seller decides: a later auction, a short offer window, or keeping the unit.
