Paying, downloading and notices after an auction

What is this?

Where to pay, where to download each document and what to do when a document or notice you expect has not arrived.

How does it work?

  • Payment: payment is not taken on this site. Pay each issued invoice in full within 48 hours of its issue (the exact deadline, in Toronto time, is printed on it; an invoice issued before the 48-hour policy keeps the due date printed on it), in CAD, using the instructions printed on it, then use Tell us you paid on the purchase. A part payment is not full payment. A payment notice is not a receipt; the balance changes only when RideAuction records the payment. The auction view shows one payment summary: invoiced, paid so far, the one amount to pay and the next due date. Open the payment summary to print it; it lists your invoices and is not a tax invoice. If you pay several invoices together, quote every invoice number. An invoice that lists several units shows Partly paid until every unit is covered.
  • Downloads: open an issued invoice and use Print or save as PDF; the file is named with the invoice number, and printing includes every unit in full. A Bill of Sale has Download PDF once issued, on the auction view and on its unit; each file has its own name (a combined Bill of Sale names the auction and its number of units). Statements name their kind and auction. A document that is Being prepared has no download.
  • Notices: you receive one in-app notice and one email per auction for your invoices, and one for your Bills of Sale, not one per unit. The invoice notice does not wait for the Bills of Sale. The link opens the right list. The notice states only counts; it never names the other dealership. Email depends on your notification preferences, so the in-app notice in Notifications is the reliable record.
  • Missing email: check Notifications and your spam folder, then Purchases or Sales → By auction. An email that was accepted for sending is not proof that it reached the inbox; the secure list is always current. Do not pay or request a second document because an email is late.
  • Documents still Being prepared: this is normal until RideAuction has finished preparing and issuing the auction’s documents together. If one unit is Being prepared while the rest are issued, that unit is on a narrow hold (for example a missing billing or tax detail); contact RideAuction with the unit and auction. A Bill of Sale marked Waiting for legal authority is not a problem with your sale: it issues automatically once RideAuction’s legal wording and authority are in place.
  • A wrong amount or detail on an issued document is never edited. RideAuction voids it and issues a corrected one, or records a credit note, and keeps the original in your history.

What do I need to do?

  • Pay a whole auction at once from Money & documents → Auction payments: one total, one transfer, quoting the payment reference shown there.
  • Use By auction to download everything for one auction; open each unit for its Bill of Sale.
  • If a notice or document is missing, check Notifications first, then contact RideAuction.

What happens next?

RideAuction records your payment, then authorizes release unit by unit once the release safeguards are satisfied.
