Selling

Your documents after an auction (sellers)

What is this?

After an auction closes, RideAuction prepares your seller-fee invoices and Bills of Sale and issues them together, with one notice per auction for invoices and one for Bills of Sale.

How does it work?

  • What happens: each sold unit becomes a sale. RideAuction prepares your seller-fee invoices and your Bills of Sale and issues them together. A seller-fee invoice can list several of your units, each with its own sale price, fee and tax. A Bill of Sale can list several units you sold to the same buyer. You are notified when they are ready.
  • Until then a document is Being prepared: it has no number and is not shown as an invoice. Your dealership has no approval or upload step. Ownership, title and provincial registration paperwork stays directly between the dealerships, outside RideAuction.
  • Open Sales and choose By auction to see one auction at a time: the units sold, your settlement balance, the issued seller-fee invoices (Show units opens each unit) and your Bills of Sale with Download PDF once issued. Seller fees are deducted from your settlement; you do not pay them separately. Your notice never names the buyer. A Bill of Sale that says Waiting for legal authority issues automatically once RideAuction’s legal wording and authority are in place; your invoice is not delayed.
  • A problem with one unit holds only that unit, not the rest of the auction. Pickup, release verification and settlement still work per unit.

What do I need to do?

  • Check Sales → the auction after the notice arrives, and confirm the seller fee and your dealership’s details.
  • Keep each unit until a currently valid release authorization is verified at handover.

What happens next?

Settlement is recorded by RideAuction after the buyer has paid. Nothing is paid out automatically on this site.
