The RideAuction Assistant (the bee)

What is this?

The bee in the corner shows where your own bids stand and warns you once when you are outbid or about to lose a lot. It never bids for you.

How does it work?

  • You see the bee only when you are signed in and your dealership is approved for RideAuction, and only while your own assistant switch is On. It is not shown on sign-in, registration or legal pages.
  • Its colour follows your dealership’s own bids, always with a count and words beside it (colour is never the only signal): blue — no active bids; green — Leading on every active lot; amber — Outbid with time left; red, pulsing — About to lose: outbid with under 2 minutes left; gold — you just won a lot (a short celebration flip, then it goes back to normal).
  • Turn-around warnings: when you are outbid, the bee turns to face you with a short buzz. When an outbid lot has under 2 minutes left, it turns around, flies beside that lot (if its card or bid box is on the screen) and points at it, and the card gets a soft ring. A bubble shows the lot, “You’ve been outbid” or “About to lose”, the time left and Go to lot, which opens that lot’s bid box. With several lots it says “N lots need you”, closing soonest first.
  • Each warning shows once per change (outbid, then the last 2 minutes, then a win) — never over and over. If you lead again and are outbid later, that is a new change and you are warned again.
  • On live bidding pages the bee never covers the bid box, the bid button or the countdown. In the last 2 minutes of the lot you are looking at, it stays still in its corner (colour, count and bubble only). With reduced motion turned on in your device, it never flies.
  • Tap the bee to open Your lots: your active bids with Leading / Outbid and the time left, Go to lot, your recent wins and the warning settings. Asking questions about lots is coming soon.
  • Fairness: the bee never bids, raises, retracts, accepts offers or presses Buy Now — it only takes you to the lot. It shows only your own dealership’s bids and never the reserve, other bidders, their maximum bids or who is watching.
  • Where the colour comes from: the same live updates as the lot pages and the same list as Active bids. Bids are always decided by RideAuction’s server when you place them.

What do I need to do?

  • Mute one lot: Mute this lot in the bubble, or Mute next to the lot in Your lots (Unmute brings it back). A muted lot no longer warns or colours the bee.
  • Stop all warnings: open the bee and choose Warnings: Off. The colour and the count stay. Mutes and this choice are kept in this browser.
  • Hide the bee for now: the × on the bee (Show assistant brings it back in this tab).
  • Turn the assistant off on every device: Account › Assistant › Turn the assistant off. It is the same switch as AI assistant in RevLane Settings › Security.

What happens next?

Go to lot opens the lot’s bid box — you decide and place any bid yourself. When a lot closes, a win turns the bee gold for a minute and appears under Recent wins; your purchase continues under Purchases.
