After the Auction: everything once an auction closes

What is this?

One place for every auction you bought or sold in: what you owe, what you are owed, and every invoice, Bill of Sale, pickup and dispute.

How does it work?

  • Where: the After the Auction section of the sidebar, right under Home. Its first entry, After the Auction, lists one row per auction you bought or sold in.
  • Open an auction to see two separate cards: You won (units won, total, paid, still to pay and your payment reference) and You sold (units sold, what is eligible for payout, what is pending and what has been paid to you). What you owe is never netted against what you are owed.
  • Under the cards, Everything for this auction links to each page in the order the work happens: Units won, Auction payment, Units sold, Seller settlement, Pickup and handover, Invoices, Bills of Sale, My to-do list, Disputes and, if you arranged one, Delivery and logistics.
  • Invoices and Bills of Sale are issued automatically when the auction closes; nothing needs to be requested.
  • Who sees what: everyone on your team who can sell sees the auctions your dealership sold in, with the units waiting for buyer payment, paid, ready to hand over and handed over, and the next step (for example: check the buyer’s pickup pass and hand over the unit). The money your dealership is owed — the settlement statement and payouts — is shown only to staff with “Manage auction activity”.

What do I need to do?

  • Open After the Auction after each auction closes.
  • As a buyer: pay the total once, quoting your payment reference, and report it once.
  • As a seller: hand over each unit when the buyer shows the pickup pass, and follow your settlement statement.

What happens next?

Your buyer and seller cards update as payments are recorded and units are handed over.
