Seller settlements: one statement and one payout per auction you sold in

What is this?

What you are owed for the units you sold in one auction, what is eligible for payout now, what is still pending, your payout and what RideAuction has already paid you.

How does it work?

  • Where: After the Auction → Seller settlements (shown to staff with the dealership’s Manage auction activity authority — the people who handle its auction money; ask your dealer principal if you need it). There is one statement per auction you sold in, with a reference that starts with RS. It is prepared automatically as soon as one of your units sells; nobody has to create it.
  • Your net proceeds for each unit = the sale price − the seller fee − any Reserve Fee taken on that sale − the tax on those fees + any adjustment, exactly as recorded on the sale. Nothing is recalculated.
  • A unit is eligible for payout once its buyer has paid in full. Units whose buyer has not paid (or paid only part), or with an open dispute, are pending; a unit on hold is excluded. The statement shows each reason and the amount.
  • Eligible for payout is not money sent. RideAuction pays you ONE payout per auction, in six stages: Eligible proceeds (your buyers paid in full) → Payout prepared (RideAuction added up the eligible units; no money sent) → Payout authorized (approved by RideAuction; still no money sent) → Bank transfer completed (RideAuction sends the wire or e-Transfer from its bank, outside RideAuction) → Payout recorded (RideAuction records the actual amount, date and bank reference) → Seller fully or partially paid.
  • Your payout is shown on the statement under Your payout, with its reference (your statement reference + -1, -2 …), status and units. A partial payout pays whole units first in lot order; what is not paid stays owed to you and a new payout is prepared for it. The statement updates by itself.
  • Reserve Fees on units that did NOT sell are billed on their own seller-fee invoice and are listed under the statement separately. They are never deducted from your sale proceeds.
  • Download statement (CSV) gives the same figures for your records; it is a statement, not a bank transfer file. Print or save as PDF prints the page.

What do I need to do?

  • Open your statement after the auction closes.
  • Hand over each sold unit when the buyer shows the pickup pass.
  • Check back: units become eligible as buyers pay, and paid once RideAuction records your payout.

What happens next?

RideAuction pays the eligible amount in one payout by bank transfer and records it; the statement then shows it as paid to you.
